Application

Our youth ministries pastor spoke yesterday's message at church. His message centered around this verse:

Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."

Even in the midst of circumstances we don't understand, He has not left us. We can choose to let our feelings get the better of us. Or, we can run and jump into the arms of the One who can carry us.

What circumstances in your life make you want to run to Jesus arms and stay there?

Are they the ones for which you are waiting?

  1. hi Lori, thanks for the email, we will try that with the tube extension, etc. Guess we thought of it, but just never managed to do it while she was retching.

    btw, don't belittle the knowledge you've gained through ten years of experience as a mother to a special needs child... you know much more than you give yourself credit for and i will be happy to take any advice you can offer! :o) i've only been doing it for 3.5 years. prayers for you and your family as you grieve your precious girl! God bless you!

  2. I loved the sermon. The whole "learning to be content" lesson was one I really needed to hear. Aren't we blessed with our church!?

  3. just wanted to add: i've been reading older posts (crying my eyes out) and I read that Megan loved men's singing voices... Abigail does too! from the time she was little, her daddy has sang to her and she has also liked other men's singing voices best! :o) it is calming to her (when she isn't doing bad)... just thought i would share! God bless!
